About

I am a diasporic Chinese artist based between Tkaronto (Toronto) and Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland). My art is driven by a commitment to queer, feminist, and decolonial futurities. Art for me is a form of healing, community-building, translation, and expanding our collective imaginations. My inspiration comes from a mix of social and environmental justice movements, relationships, the more-than-human world, stories, and dreams.

I love working with ink and watercolour. Recently, I’ve been more experimenting with digital illustration and animation. I have done illustrations for anti-poverty campaigns like We Are Beneficiaries, queer mental health awareness like Out Loud Aotearoa, my comics and artworks have been published in Together for Te Tiriti Colouring Book, Pandemic Chronicles, Unravelling Threads: Asian Mental Health, Chinese Languages in Aotearoa, New Sociology, Undercurrents: Journal of Critical Environmental Studies, Imminent Rebellion, Three Words Comic, Mellow Yellow, and Break Free. No AI is used in my work.
